Club History
The Kilmarnock and Loudoun Amateur Radio Club was founded in the late summer of 1980, when it was decided that there was a need for a local amateur radio club. The founding members were John Hemphill; GM3CTG, David Baird; GM3OYH and Tom Greg; GM3MZN.
Since the founding of the club there has been several venues since the early days in the YMCA. These meeting places were "The Buchannan Centre", "Glenfield Bowling Club", "Broomhill Hotel".
The Kilmarnock and Loudoun ARC presently meet at 7.30pm within
East Ayrshire Council Internal Transport Depot,
34 Main Street,
Crookedholm near Kilmarnock,
on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
